2017 Women’s Economic Empowerment Global Learning Forum

The SEEP Network recently announced that Request for Proposals for peer learning sessions and Registration for the 2017 Women’s Economic Empowerment Global Learning Forum are now live! The forum will take place in Bangkok, Thailand on May 23-25, 2017 and will bring together leading stakeholders in the field of women’s economic empowerment in order to facilitate dialogue, build global learning connections, and promote effective practice and policy to address the needs of very poor and marginalized women around the world.

The conference agenda will be organized around the forum’s three learning themes and proposals for peer learning sessions should respond to relevant learning questions from these themes:

1. The Rural Poor: Women’s Empowerment on and off the Farm
2. Employment Opportunities through Enterprise Development and Job Creation
3. Women’s Financial Inclusion: Leveraging Finance to Advance Women’s Empowerment

Banyan Global is a chairing the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for the 2017 Global Learning Forum and along with the other TAC members will review session proposals and assist with selecting those that best meet the criteria outlined in the Request for Proposals.

To submit a proposal, please be sure to follow the guidance highlighted in the Request for Proposals, including Session Selection Criteria and Presenter Policies and complete the Session Proposal Form no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on February 20, 2017.
