Summer 2008 Internship

Banyan Global is seeking an intern for the firm's New York City office to provide support on a host of existing projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing research support to Banyan Global Technical Staff within the microfinance practice area.
  • Supporting new business development work as required. This includes monitoring procurement websites and providing assistance in the preparation of proposals.
  • Provide support on current projects, including staff mobilizations to the field, review of expense reports and file maintenance.

Qualifications:

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of at least 2 years of an undergraduate degree program.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid quantitative skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Interest in international affairs.
  • Previous research and/or administrative office experience a plus.
  • Declared major in international affairs or a similar major also a plus.

Compensation & Period of Performance:
The intern's workweek will last between 32 and 40 hours, and it is expected that the internship will run for the duration of the summer with the possibility of extending to the fall. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
