Banyan Global conducted a gender assessment to identify gender equality advances and constraints within the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/Haiti portfolio. The assessment concentrated on four sectors: agricultural and economic security (including nutrition); basic services (health and education); democracy and governance; and water, sanitation, and hygiene, climate change and disaster risk reduction. Banyan Global developed a gender equality action plan with recommendations on how USAID/Haiti could achieve greater gender integration in its strategies and programs to inform its 2018―2021 Country Development Cooperation Strategy.
